Dr James Pimm has over 30 years of experience working in the NHS as a GP in Reading, Wokingham, and Finchampstead, with a special interest in dermatology.

After completing a dermatology conference in Paris in 2019, he began seeing skin patients referred by doctors, nurses, and physician associates. Since retiring from NHS work in 2023, Dr Pimm only does skin care privately.

Drawing on his experience in anaesthetics, where several drugs are used at the same time, Dr Pimm began mixing specific creams to make up compound creams, which are not otherwise available as a single cream. In this way, patients with skin problems can be given one compound cream containing all the ingredients needed to manage the condition. The doses can be matched for age or weight.

Dr Pimm holds medical qualifications, and a masters’ degree. He has membership of the RCGP in London.
